Everyone will always say they "hate going to DU parties," but they'll be there regardless, acting like they had something better to do. Meatheads don't care about Colgate's wealthy population, and the class division really shows. Jags are weird more often than not but some are incredibly nice. Don't really care if you're there or not, just want to take their shirts off and punch a hole in their ceiling with their bros (read, teammates) or something. Mixers suck because half the house is too busy getting stoned upstairs and the other half has practice the next day. Real genuine guys--take that as you will.

only football players and guys who got rejected everywhere else. their parties are terrifying. there’s a whole group of freshmen and unaffiliated girls who come out for these parties so they’re always packed. you’ll have full body contact with 4 other people the entire time you’re on the dance floor (2 shirtless football players, a freshman girl trying to twerk, and your friend who you’re clinging to for dear life). you’ve gotta swallow your pride and go there freshman year but yikes.
