The Tri Sigma Chapter here isnt bad. People are judgmental because there are plus size girls in the sorority. Im a junior and since I have been on campus, they are changing each and every semester they take in a group of girls. They get recognized on campus a lot, except being popular with GDI's who constantly bash them on sites like this and some fraternity guys. The stereotypes ya know? If you do come, you could be the change for this chapter. Ya never know

Honestly......... it's up to you. But I will tell you that they're the least attractive sorority (not just because of their weight, they aren't ALL overweight, obviously, just a good portion). They don't really put any effort into their appearances. They also don't get asked to do things with the top fraternities (even the mediocre ones), and don't socialize/go out to the level the other sororities do. I just see minimal effort compared to the major effort almost every other sorority puts in. Therefore they're considered the "bottom" sorority on campus, even below one that recently came on. Another one (chi o) is coming on this fall though so they have a chance.

With that being said, the ones I've talked to were really nice, just socially different. I'd ask them to study with me or grab lunch or something, whereas girls from other organizations would be more inclined to go to a pike party or tongys.

They could have a great sisterhood but I'm not in it so I can only judge from the outside. I would assume EVERY sorority is the same when it comes to sisterhood though. They also have improved from what they used to be (very very bad) but still seem to recruit from the bottom of the barrel. Example: a lot of pnms will drop sigma in recruitment but due to another chapter dropping them, sigma pops back up on their list and they're like wtf?

If you like your home chapter, I wouldn't bother honestly. I'm sure there are sigma girls who don't fit this mold and do try to change the image, and I feel for them, but it's gonna take a lot of work. Also didn't mean to seem so negative but just wanted to give you an honest opinion. It depends on the type of person you are and the kind of experience you want from greek life.

The chapter here is super nice! I'm in another chapter on campus, yeah there are some plus size girls, but if you're their sister you shouldn't care about their size. I think sigma is really rising up and if you wanna be part of it you should! Pan love
