what's the difference?
by: What's theBetween Pi Kappa and the Delts? Both haven't even been here a decade if that both are the weirdest frats at clemson both have no sorority relations both have no housing. What makes one more relevant than the other? Just curious.

When fraternities start up at a campus, their representatives show up and give out bids to pretty much anyone until they reach a certain number. DTD is 3 years old and PKP is 6 months old. Fraternities always start out weird, but at least DTD has had time to graduate out almost all of the original weirdos.

PKP:
They used to be a pretty decent fraternity before they were kicked off. They have a huge alumni base who gives them money. They can pay to party with better fraternities than they would normally be able to. They also have about 100 guys
DTD: People always claim they don't have a house on this site, but they do. It's actually pretty big and it's not really worse than most other fraternity houses. They also have a quad spot. They get a reputation for being weird, but the younger ones I know are actually cool.

I've seen y'alls house. not impressive certaintly not very big but at lest y'all are trying to move in the right direction.

There's been an unreasonable amount of negative discussion about all of those, and Pi Kapp is the only one who would care enough to bring them down

starting with the mids this is what i think
lxa (sp): top of the list b/c housing and mingle with better frats/sororities occasionly, also have a way better rep than those below
dx as: great housing need to improve on rush and being more selective, sorority relations could be better but are decent.
dtd: need to work on rush hard b/c y'alls pledge class qualities are iffy at best, also need to figure out a way to get better in the social scene to gain respect
pkp: pikapp once your founding class graduates you are going to see a huge turn around in your frats repuation, until then you are just going to improve marginally each semester and have the stigma of a bunch of geeds just signing a piece of paper to get into a fraternity.

I'm pretty sure delt is the actual national abbreviation, everyone at Clemson just calls them DTD

pi kappa phi was founded here like '85-'87 ish era and were solid (remember they had what is now the kappasig house) they were low country animals so they were kinda creepy to the girls but still managed to pull decently. also were big towards the end so have a good alumni support. pkp will definitely be better than delt solely bc of their reputation and alumni sending their kids through there but it will take probably 3 years conservatively to be firm middle tier. dtd is a group of kids who don't gel with the rest of greek life very well. but in their own niche they get some pretty hot gdi girls (theres alot of hot non-sorority girls remember its clemson) and do their own thing. without improving their presence with sororities and getting a house i don't see any chance they can move past low mid
