what to rush

I wouldn't say DTD has a great reputation. I would lean more towards alpha sig, Phi tau, lamda chi, Beta, pi kap isn't bad either. DX is the only truly northern fraternity

I'd avoid Phi Tau, Pi Kap, and possiblly Beta. Phi Tau is all northerners who want to be alcoholics but can't keep more than three beers down. Real try hards. Pi kap is new but has a lot of weird kids. Beta appeals to a certain person so if you're not into being flamboyantly frat it's probably not for you. Alpha Sig has a great house but have been solidly lower-middle for a while. Mixed bag on the brothers, some arestrange. shouldn't deter you From rushing them though. Lambda Chi is solidly middle tier and has a good house but it's prettyfar away. Some of the guys in lambda are supposed to be kinda weird but I don't know enough of them to know if that's true or not. DTD has a house near campus and has been wavering around the lower mid for a while. That being said, their house isn't that great but they've been improving since they were chartered.

Unfortunately the 2 frats that took lots of kids from Ohio, Sig Ep and SX, are gone.

Pike, KS and Phi Delt are probably your best options but if you are a cool kid I wouldn't rule out SN, SAE or ATO, they all have some random kids from the Midwest just no one from the north.

I would take DTD and phi tau over pi kapp and alpha sig any day. Beta is definitely a step up from all four and lambda is a step up from Beta. All of them have known houses other than pi kapp and all of the except lambda and pi kapp have quad spots. Also phi tau and DTD and I think lambda as well have friar spots which again makes them better than pi kapp and alpha sig. But in all honesty wherever you fit in best is where you should go.
