Disproportionate Frat Chapters to Sorority Chapters

Of the 30% overall student population that is involved in Greek like 36% are females and 19% are males. There are 23 Fraternity chapters on campus and 13 sorority chapters on campus. The math ain’t matching on this. How are there more frats to sororities? A good problem to have versus the reverse that most Midwest big10 schools and other southern sec schools are starting to face.

sororities here have always been much larger in chapter size than the fraternities here. also when you take out chapters like tke, triangle, kdr, and zbt that are tiny and irrelevent that gap becomes smaller

Sororities are dues machines. 3-400 sisters? This is ridiculous and greedy and deliberate to make $.

Every sorority has to vote and agree to add a new chapter. It’s much harder than adding a new frat with Panhellenic rules vs IFC.
