Letters of rec for rush

they don’t make a single ounce of difference. I got two for two different houses and didn’t get either of them back after video round, friends got rec letters and didn’t get any of them back after video. what really makes a difference is dirty rushing/knowing people recruiting

Letters of rec won't guarantee you a bid but they CAN give you a boost if they're written by someone with really strong ties to the chapter, like a very involved alum or chapter adviser. I tend to say go ahead and get the letter because it can't hurt. It will either do nothing or encourage them to give you a second look you may not have gotten otherwise.
