Old ladies are the ones who are going to kill sororities. Old and dead ladies don't join sororities. Sororities are for the young and living. All the money in the world won't help if no one is interested in being a member. The attitude of old ladies is a huge turnoff.

Sororities are for life, and ALL sisters - regardless of age - should be valued members.

If you truly believe sororities are nothing more than a social club for college students, your sorority has failed you by not teaching you the value of alumnae members and their continued involvement.

It’s not a coincidence that the strongest chapters at Clemson are the ones with the most alumni support and biggest national alum networks. Spitting in the face of your alums is beyond stupid and counterproductive.

Do chapters still have alumnae/corporation boards? Perhaps Clemson doesn’t as they don’t have actual houses on campus. I can recall wonderful “old ladies” who were present during rush, advising us and ensuring we were focused on bringing in strong sisters and playing by the rules. It sounds like there aren’t any rules. Or perhaps as other people have mentioned — the rules have been thrown out by the “old ladies” in the NPC. Interesting.

I cannot believe the disrespectful young women on here!! Having respect and class has always been the cornerstone of sorority life. How you treat your elders is a reflection of who you are and how you were raised.
