Cob sororities who might do it

Make sure the Panhellenic office knows that you are interested in COB. Chapters can COB if they did not pledge quota or if they are below quota, so there may be some chapters able to COB are formal recruitment. Let your friends and girls in your rush group know you would be interested in COB opportunities if their sororities are able to COB.

What kind of girl wants to be in a sorority that cut her? Have some self respect. Join a lower “ranked” house that wanted you — larger pledge classes will have greater influence.
Shallow houses cut in the lame lazy virtual round based 100% on image. If you were cut during that round & are now wanting a COB from a house that cut you without even meeting you? Very sad!

With so many PNMs dropping because they’re heartbroken about heavy cuts that cost them the opportunity to join a house they loved, maybe Panhel needs to consider giving everyone the same level of say in where they end up as Clemson LIFE women are given. If not, the special privileges and “separate process” for a select few PNMs to ensure a satisfactory result need to stop.

Hi all,
I completely agree that girls who drop bc they didn't get in one of the houses they wanted bear responsibility. You either want to be in a house, or you don't. There are friends waiting in every house. I do think that every girl should get their 15 minute water/lemonade party where they get to hear the chant and feel the energy. It is the job of a Rho Chi/Gamma Chi/Pi Chi to counsel these girls throughout. I also think it is very concerning that smart, cute, friendly girls can be cut to as little as three houses after virtual round. I do not know much about Clemson rush (a close family member went through...has a lot of early cuts...and hung in and is THRILLED with her house...even though it isn't a "top/mid" house) but it seems really crazy to cut that deep. And I don't care if they didn't know anything about rush, recs, early recruiting, etc. My daughter went through major SEC rush at a competitive school and even those that had major cuts first round STILL were invited back to half the houses after first round. Huge props to the girls that hung on though the heartbreak of early cuts and didn't think they were above pledging a house that others wouldn't consider. Nobody hates their sorority once they join. All the houses need to succeed for the sake of the system. I hope any girl who dropped and is waiting on a COB will really give all houses a chance. You'd be very surprised how much things can change from year to year. You can make a difference. This makes me really think about future hiring in Corporate America. I may start looking at those listing their sororities and give my preference to those that joined houses and made them better.

I got a house I loved and feel very excited about but I do agree every PNM should get the opportunity to visit the chapters in person before any cuts are made! Just a simple conversation can make a huge difference for some people. As a PNM I also felt like I got a much better feel for the chapters in person than I did from any videos or even social media. The one that ended up being my favorite in person was not one that I initially thought I would see myself in.

Last year Zeta had to do cob / informal rush because they cut too many girls and lost their numbers when the PNMs submitted their preference
So you never know who might need to do cob/ informal.
