Legacy for fraternity

Hello I was just curious how much weight legacy carries for rushing one of the more prominent fraternities, could someone please share any relevant info.

I know from people in snu, beta, and kappa sig that legacy plays a huge role, it locks you down to their final round, you most likely can get a bid unless there is something they find very wrong

If you’re a legacy to the Chapter then it’s a golden ticket for most frats if you’re just a legacy to the National Frat it can help if you’re at risk of not making the cut but guarantees nothing unless your Dad is a big national donor.
