PNM Advice - reality check

PNMs I hope y’all aren’t taking anything on greekrank seriously bc this is mostly just mean girls posting to make their chapter look better and to hate on everyone else.
Some actual advice: You’re going to find sisters you vibe with in every sorority, and you’re going to find people you absolutely do not get along with in every sorority! There’s 200+ girls in each one so you will find your people! Go into recruitment with an open mind and choose the chapter that fits your vibe. The tier system is super outdated anyway and it changes from year to year depending on the members. If you’re worried you might end up in a house where you won’t be invited to socials, mixers, or just have a bad reputation - don’t be. No one actually cares about stereotypes within greek life. If you’re worried about joining a chapter because you want to be able to go to the best frats and the best parties - don’t be. Greek life is what you make of it & you will literally be able to go to whatever events you want to, no matter your chapter’s “status” or “tier.” It really is just about the friends and connections you make, which is what greek life is all about!

Yes! As someone who rushed, I promise you that nobody actually cares about what sorority you’re in once recruitment is over. (!!!!!!!!) During recruitment there’s so much pressure to get into “top” houses but truly nobody on campus cares after. Nobody is like “omg she’s wearing an ADPi shirt?!!?!? She must be so cool”. I almost dropped because I was left with mid/bottom sororities and I only wanted top when I was rushing… well I gave one and chance and had the best time and could not imagine myself in any other sorority, seriously. If I had ended up in a top sorority I would have been miserable, not fit in, and would have definitely dropped. I have a friend group with friends in “bottom” sororities and friends in “top” ones, and we are all the same person. I don’t think any less or more of them because their sororities and neither do they. I’ve been able to meet girls from all their sororities and they’re all equally as fun and cool. Go with where YOU feel comfortable and would have the most fun!! That’s the whole point of a sorority!!
