spring rush 2014

by: ConfusedLiz

So I decided not to rush with my roommate in the fall but now I am really regretting it because I am a sophomore. Is it even worth rushing in the spring? Or again in the fall as a junior?

You have to know someone in the sorority in order to participate in spring COB. But rushing as a junior is kind of unheard of.

My sorority took a couple of juniors this fall, but they were girls who knew actives who could fight for them during recruitment. If you don't know more than a few girls in a house I wouldn't count on getting invited back there simply because there are so many more girls who have more years to give to the sorority. There is an upperclassman quota but it's more for sophomores than juniors. I rushed as a sophomore and was cut pretty harshly, so I don't know how well it would go for you as a junior. Not that you shouldn't try it just know that your options will be limited and you can't set your heart on any one house-be open-minded.
