How selective is ADPi during recruitment? Is it true that you have to be a legacy or have sisters/friends in the house to get a bid?

you shouldn't have your heart set on one sorority going into recruitment. it's the wrong mindset to have. but no for adpi and every other sorority it doesn't really matter much about legacy or rec letters. it matters the people you talk to during recruitment and whether or not they like you and can see you as a part of their sorority. but again, having your heart set on one sorority like that is not a good idea.

As a top tier house, they are very selective. It's all about connections during rush, not necessarily what you have to offer. Not always fair, but that's how it works.

while both the comments above are true that is not just with adpi… that tends to be the basis for a lot of houses going through rush. however, my friend knew 6 older girls in adpi when she was rushing, had three letters of rec and still did not get a bid. she ended up loving a diff house so it worked out for her well however just because you know someone doesn't necessarily mean they'll give you a bid.

if you're a legacy, you get in for sure. I know that.

Yeah the same thing happened in tridelt. Two girls moms were tridelts and they both got dropped third round. From what I hear usually legacies get taken to AT least third round and if you get preffed you are almost guaranteed a bid
