Real advice for PNMs (no sugarcoat)

Don’t let these bottom tiers come on here and mislead you. There are HUGE differences between sororities here (believe me, you will find out soon). These posts saying that they’re all the same, with same type of girls, same social life, same this, same that...no even close. They are saying this because they’re desperate to get girls to go to their lower ranked sorority since nobody wants social suicide and end up there. It’s sad but true, you are in fact judged on your letters. If you’re in a top tier you have a great personality and are pretty, if you are in a mid tier you’re probably average with a decent personality, if you’re in a bottom tier you’re just weird and there’s something off about you that people avoid. The ones in the top sororities hang with the top fraternities and have a good reputation and are instantly relevant. Middle tiers are the ones hanging with okay fraternities but they’re not first pick. Bottom tier Sororities don’t hang with anyone really and when they do it’s the bottom of the barrel guys because you’re also looked at as bottom of the barrel girls. Think of it like high school, the weird quiet furry girl in the back of the class doesn’t hang with the popular football player. It’s like that here but your social class is based on which letters you represent and the ones telling you that’s not true are in bottom tiers. It’s the sad truth, but it is exactly what happens. You should be fine and have a normal Greek experience as long as you stay away from the “bottom 3” sororities (Pi Phi, Gamma Phi, and Sigma Kappa), but you will obviously make the most of your time at Clemson if ur in a Top tier sorority. Anyway, do your research and be very careful on where you’re going to spend your college experience. The sorority you’re in is what makes or breaks your college experience.
