1260 pnms too many
by: Perplexed
Panhellenic just posted 1260 PNMS. I know that’s great for the Greek system as a whole...that despite all the negativity in the press, we are still thriving, but how can 1,260 women really find the “right fit.” And how can 12 sororities really determine which 1/12th of those women would be the best fit for them? When does all that get thrown out the door and this really becomes solely about who you know and who knows you? Or is that the bottom line already?
And finally, how do you plug in and find your place in a pledge class with possibly 80-90 others who are trying to find their place too? How can you find true sisterhood in a group that big? I’m perplexed.

There is nothing limiting the class size to 70 if people stay in recruitment and maximize their options, as quota is not determined until pref round. Quota goes down when people drop out, as it is not common for people to be released completely. The more people who stick to it until the end, the larger quota will be and thus larger class sizes.
