No, greekrank policy has nothing to do with panhellenic or sorority policies. This site is a business that runs on gossip. Why would they do anything to discourage it? Greekrank would only release user information if they get a subpoena, and a subpoena would only happen if laws were broken and somebody was willing to spend a lot of money in legal fees. Go to the bottom of the page and click on all that stuff under 'Resources' and read for yourself.

Someone posting a negative review about a sorority is not breaking the law. No individual members are being named. People have First Amendment rights to free speech. Read the Legal section under Resources at the bottom of the page for more information. Also no sorority is going to spend time or money to investigate what is basically people's opinions on here.

Maybe posting one bad review about a sorority isn’t breaking the law, but constantly attacking a group of people with the intent to slander their name IS hate speech. People need to be careful. Chapters are looking into it

I am sitting here watching one person upvote themselves over and over. This is not a legitimate post, and the person who posted it is the actual troll. No way did this post get upvoted by over 20 people in just 10 minutes. Just more evidence that GR is inhabited by people who post crap for their own amusement -- even pretending to be "Panhellenic." (They'll stay up all night now to downvote this, too, LOL!)

Why does the idea of names being released bother you so much? Because then you can’t attack groups anonymously on Greek rank for fun...? I’ve heard this is true from multiple chapters.

how tf do you know that. takes one to know one. also, I looked into this and it says if you violate terms of use (includes cyber bully) then they can release info to “individuals” without a legal notice. you’re on their website, they own your comments.
