how southern?

by:

How "southern" is the greek life? I didn't get a super southern feel when I visited the campus like I did at some other schools but not I am getting nervous from stuff people are saying that you have to be a that things like family money and debutants and legacy are important to make it into a sorority.

Southern culture is really into social status and finding every way possible to make sure you know who’s better “bred”/richer/more important than the rest. Not really a thing at Clemson, more likely at Alabama.

You will be fine. There are a lot of OOS students in sororities.

Truthfully, you will find some of that but all sororities have both southern and northern girls.

Hey I think you will find that the girls and the sororities will all have a bit of southern style to them. Lots of us northern girls too, but if your grandma isn't from the south or you never had much exposure then it might be a bit of a culture shock to you. if you still picked Clemson, then you probably won't mind the southern culture which isn't that big but it kind of all around you. You will fit in just fine. Dnn't worry.

If you think the southern culture might bother you then maybe you should rethink your college choice.

You find that out when you go through recruitment.

That will sort itself out during recruitment. The houses will make sure that you are paired with actives from your area so judge by that, not on here.
