by: hmmmIs SAE coming back on campus? If so how are they still recruiting kids?
#1 by: Technically
They never left but, their nationals is getting cold feet returning because they heard from the school that the old chapter has recruited 50+ guys underground and do not want any part of the old chapter having an influence over the new colony. Pretty much exactly what happened to Pike.
The only thing is they are probably only waiting a semester to return, and will have some very heavy oversight on the chapter.
They are actively recruiting but do not advertise it yet. You have to know someone who knows someone.

SAE was great my freshman year, and not trying to rag on kicked off fraternities, but just go with an established one that is not in the midst of a start up. No matter what the first few classes they take will be goobers, your here for 4 years. Few years down the line they will be back again

So SAE had the opportunity to return this semester and they chose not to.
Their nationals hated the old chapter, and if anyone here has a good historian in their chapter, you would know they got in trouble a lot after the year 2000. 99% of the time they were in trouble it was because they had their nationals breathing down their neck. It wasn't until like 2012ish that Clemson really started to get on them and that was mostly because their nationals hated them.
Now that they are hearing about the old chapter having such a strong, and up until recently silent and secret, recruitment you can obviously see why they chose not to return.
Their nationals will either come on this spring or the coming fall or maybe they'll just indefinitely postpone it in an effort to get some unofficial Members who want a real on campus fraternity to drop. Idk. Either way I doubt they indefinitely rule out coming on and it will not be as awesome as some of these guys think it will be.
All of this is a shame because if you meet the guys they've been recruiting the dudes are actually chill AF, I honestly like them better than any AGR or KA I've ever met, but yeah.
