will i get a bid?

by:

I'm coming to Clemson in the fall as a freshman and I'm planning to rush. My sister is in a sorority there and even though I am definitely going to keep an open mind to many chapters, I was wondering if her sorority would be able to drop me even if I like them? Overall I'm wondering if I will definitely get a bid if I want one.

Sororities can pick whoever they want. Who do you think you are to say they have to give you a bid? Of course being a legacy Helen s but it does not guarantee invitation to membership.

I believe each sorority has guidelines about legacies. Usually just means to give special consideration, but in the end, it gets down to what the chapter feels is best. What I am familiar with is that a legacy should be invited back after first round, but then it depends on the fit between the woman and the chapter if you get invited back after that. And maybe after you meet with the chapter, you decide that you rather be somewhere else.

If your sister is an active member yeah you should be good considering no one in your sisters sorority is going to be like "well your sister sucks sorry". If she's already graduated it isn't gauranteed though.

legacies got dropped from my sorority during rush but we do give them "special consideration" if your sister is an active and you're normal you'll still probably get a bid
