Sororities here have a quota of how many non-freshman they have to take. Most chapters take around 8, and those girls are usually sophomores. If you're okay with joining a newer chapter on campus like Pi Phi or what some think are bottom tier like Theta, Gamma Phi, or SK, then I'd go ahead and rush anyways. Best of luck!

I'm rushing next year as a sophomore is that going to hurt my chances of getting a bid a lot or is the quota kinda proportionate to the amount of sophomores and freshman going through rush?

it you're a sophomore transfer it will be a little easier.

If you're currently a Clemson freshman and you didn't rush or dropped out of rush its not looked upon well. You better make some friends in sororities quickly and have those girls push hard for you.

My sorority is "top tier" and has taken large amounts of sophomores in recent PCs (like 15-20). However, we aren't allowed by nationals to give juniors or seniors bids. I'm sure we aren't the only ones that have this rule so your options might be a little more limited just because if your year, but juniors getting bids isn't unheard of.
