why the hate?
by: nytnI am the mother of a daughter who will begin college next fall. Clemson is one of the schools she is interested in. She's my baby so I've already started gathering all the information I can on just about anything and everything. Can anyone tell me what makes one sorority so much better than another? There are positive, negative and mediocre comments on each one of them. The "grades" are all pretty much the same. Yet, if you look at the discussion posts where they are ranked, the only thing that is consistent is that Sigma Kappa, Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Alpha Theta are always the bottom three, with Kappa Alpha Theta always last. Why?

Don't rely on this site -- sororities go on and self rank and then bash other sororities. if you are from SC then she should talk to friends who are already here and can get a better idea of what each sorority is like. If she is coming to Clemson from out of state, she may want to consider waiting until sophomore year to rush. Lots of sororities are primarily in state girls who rush girls they know from their high schools or who they have met at Clemson.. Good luck!

go with the first post and don't make decisions based on anything on this site. As for in life's response, Theta might be the least desirable option for THEM, but not for your daughter. The same could be said for any one of the sororities depending on what you want out of it. When she goes through rush she will figure out what people she wants to spend the next 4 plus years hanging out with and if that is Sigma Kappa, Gamma, Theta or any of the others who cares if she is happy? I can guarantee that when she graduates literally NO ONE will care where here sorority ranking was, ever.
