Why is Phi Kappa Tau sending recruiting emails, participating in Smokers, and hosting rush dinners if they are suspended?

They didn't have a tent at out at Smokers?

does anyone know why they got such a long suspension?

They originally got caught for hazing and suspended 1 year. Then they got caught having a pre rush party and suspended for 2 years. Then they kept throwing parties and got suspended for 4 years

They sound like fun. What's the downside of pledging with a suspended fraternity?

Without backing from the university, you can't be involved in university events such as greek week. Mostly you lose the ability to participate in formal rush, so good luck getting any good sized rush class. Sororities also won't touch you, due to repercussions from the university. SX was top tier before they lost university support, how are they doing now?

Seems like that's pretty much true for any fraternity on campus, from what I've heard.
