old frat houses

Everyone pretty much partied in the quad up until the early 2000's. Even heard a story of guys installing keg taps in the walls and running the lines to a room with multiple kegs. There were off campus houses like pike's but they weren't used nearly as much as we use the off campus ones today

Pi Kapp had Kappa Sig's house until they were kicked off in 2011.

Back in the day, everyone had party houses that were further away - KA's Lodge, SN's Lake House, SAE's Ski Lodge so did Phi Delt, LXA, Delta Chi in Six Mile or Seneca.

Pike and AGR were the closest except for Beta who originally had the "White House" in the 80s & 90s they got kicked out then Pi Kapp had it for a year before they bought the apartment building that is now the KS house.

parties in the quad - 80s, early 90s - ended when a girl fell out of ATOs window and died.

off campus party houses far away from campus - mid 90s - 00s - end when SN pledge dies of alcohol poisoning and the alumni sold there house.

current crack down, end of greek parties - caused by stupid Sig Ep killing a pledge

Gentry hall on old Greenville highway used to be the Fiji house, so them, Pike and Pi Kapp had houses on that street, and the ski lodge and White House were a street back. Wouldn't be surprised if more frats had houses in that neighborhood too

Old Greenville highway/north Clemson ave/wigington street is basically an unofficial frat row, got kappa sig, the ski lodge, the White House and the compound, too bad Beta lost their house, it would be cool to have a couple more frat houses in that area

I know ATO had Betas Wigington street house before them, Sig Ep had the skybox before Alpha Sig and Chi Phi originally had the Delta Chi house

DX built that house so definitely wasn't XPhi before.

Was the compound always a frat house?

I need answers ... I’m making a 3 volume definitive and comprehensive history of Clemson frat houses, I don’t mean to spoil the ending but to summarize it ... it involved Phi Delt g.a.y.zing their pledges and the honorable Mr. Slann selling their beloved compound were they used to throw “legendary” parties and held their annual F.A.G. Wash! I’ve pitched it to several editors ... I’m getting positive feedback!

Bump
