is 22 too old?

I'll be starting college as a freshman at 22 years old due to a tough past couple of years battleing with illness. Is it normal and accepted to pledge at 22?

Most people who are 21 or older at Clemson are already over the fraternity scene and moved on to the bar scene, so if you already know people at Clemson I'd just opt out of pledging, but if you don't know anyone you might want to pledge to find a good group of guys to hang out with.

Yeah, I don't know anyone at Clemson so I'd need a place to find a good group of friends. That's my main reason for wanting to join a fraternity.

There are a couple of guys I have heard of who came is as 21 year old freshmen after going to prep schools or whatever and ended up pledging and they were fine
