informal recruitment???

I'm transferring to Chico in the fall and I'm super excited to join a sorority. Since I've already been in college for two years, I am ready to get involved with greek life. I know a couple girls at Chico who took place in informal recruitment. I was just wondering how I could get the ball rolling on that, as well as if any of you would even recommend me doing that? Thanks!

I would say wait until formal recruitment where you'll get a chance to see all the sororities. By doing informal recruitment you'll be limiting yourself to probably one sorority (aopi) as none of the other chapters usually partake in informal recruitment.

there are also multicultural sororities that recruit during the fall

If you want a true Greek experience go through formal recruitment and join a PHC or IFC Greek organization. The rest are gimmicks.

You can't have a Greek experience without sports, Greek week, socials, philanthropy, which all of these organizations offer.
