house

by: Curious

Right now I am a freshmen and I am about to go through sorority recruitment. I have a lot of stereotypes in my head but for me that doesnt really matter, I want a chapter that is nice and has a house. My question is for Alpha Omicron Pi, when will you get a house? I dont want to go though college being part of the only chapter that doesnt have a place to call home

Our nationals are actively looking for the best possible house for us! Our chapter is patiently waiting, but we will hopefully have a house very soon! :)

Would you know by recruitment? Because as of now I see how cool the houses are really want to know if that is something your chapter can provide in the next year

We really are hoping so! But not sure if we will know by recruitment or not.

I really feel like my question is being avoided. I really just want a ballpark guess...

why doesn't AOPI look into the old Pi Phi house? It's on the corner of 4th and normal and is perfect for a sorority house.

AOPi has looked into pi phi! As well as the lot in between theta chi and g phi. There are a lot of issues involving these possibilities that our nationals have ran into and are trying to work around

I can assure you that your question is not being avoided.

We as a chapter do not have the ability to give you a ballpark guess. We can only give you as much information as we know, which is that our nationals are trying their very hardest in finding a house for us.

Like stated above, they are looking for the absolute perfect house and we all hope that it's something can happen in the next year, but we will only know when our nationals know.

Addressing the part where you say "I dont want to go though college being part of the only chapter that doesnt have a place to call home", I know for a fact that AOII is my second home. I couldn't be more in love with my sisters, our values, and the fraternity itself even though we don't have the four walls to call our own right now. It's the people that make the home, and AOII is most definitely that for me.

I know I might not have the best tone through this post, but I really truly hope you find your home through formal recruitment. Good luck and best wishes to you :)

Well I wish you luck in recruitment. But since you guys don't know I think I'll be looking into the other five chapters who can offer both a house and sisterhood. Sorry it had to be that way.

Sorry we can't provide a house just yet, but best of luck with formal recruitment! We hope you find your home like we did <3

I am also a freshmen who is going through recruitment, I get that you don't know exactly when you will have a house butI was wondering, does that mean it will be really cheap to be in the chapter?

How do you think they will get a house if they don't collect money for it? Most new house chapters dues are at least the same or often more $$$ than current housed chapters.

Thank you! I like knowing that before I go in blind

Our dues are average compared to the other chapters in town, and the recruitment councilors will be able to give you all that information during recruitment!
