can i join a fraternity if i am attending butte

im attending butte next year and spent the last year in isla vista where the fraternities were somewhat open to city college kids pledging their fraternity. does the same go for chico?
also, what are the top houses? not only looking to party, but a brotherhood as well

you can pledge delta psi delta or tau gamma theta. no IFC fraternity will extend a bid to a butte student. Sigma Chi may be able to since they aren't affiliated with the school, so just go to their rush events and find out. if EX isnt taking butte students, wait until you are a chico student to rush. d psi and tg are garbage and they have absolutely nothing to offer.

You could tell sigma chi your a Chico state student and they would bid you. They have no way of determining if your a Chico state student or a butte student since they don't have acess to university and IFC information.

My friend that just got initiated into Sigma Chi goes to butte but he is taking a few classes at CSU Chico. Maybe he told them he goes to Chico State? I feel like since they are independent they cant get access to CSU Chico / Butte transcripts and determine which school the rushee attends.
