Delta Chi is coming back very soon and taking back their house which kappa sig now rents. Be on the lookout to find out if they’ll be back next semester or have to wait till next year

This will be good for Chico Greeks. They have a substantial alumni that will support the chapter. They were a strong chapter for many years.

Kappa sig will die slowly, they peaked spring last year and this first semester. Already we can observe they are on a steady decline and it will continue. I guess that’s what happens when you care about nothing other than getting “haggard”

A Chico Delta Chi alumni organization owns the house Kappa Sig currently rents. I believe the Delta Chi alumni offered to rent the house to Kappa Sig for at least all the next school year. (2018-2019) So I am sure Kappa Sig has at least another year to figure out their next move.

Delta Chi was always a class act at Chico. I have some friends that will be happy to hear they finally made it back.

it's great that they are coming back but it will be years before delta chi is back on top, if they even make it that far. until then dx will be gooberville usa while sigma chi, theta chi, kappa sig, pike, sigma pi remain as frat royalty.

Not necessarily true, there have been examples of chapters reestabishing themselves back onto campus and being very successful. If you get the right people in a colony like minded people will gravitate to the colony and build a solid base for a solid chapter. Just because the other fraternities do not acknowledge them does not mean that they will be unsuccessful. It’s not the fraternities they need to be at knowledged by but the sororities. And sororities will be the driving force for the success of the new colony.

-Kappa Sigma and Pike were both very successful colonies.
-In 1985 Beta Theta Pi was instantly a top house.
-Sigma Pi started out strong when they colonized.
-When Delta Chi first started it was a top house.
-Theta Chi was started by a transfer from San Jose State University who went to the dorms after rush and asked who wanted to join a fraternity. He got about 15 to 20 guys and they pretty quickly became a top house.

So yeah it happens, the real challenge is staying on top without flaming out.
