rushing a top house
by: unsureI'm an incoming first year who wants to rush alpha phi. Only problem is that I am Hispanic. I've heard that too houses rarely take colored girls. Should I even go through rush? Help :/

None of the sororities discriminate against people of color. Most sororities in Chico don't have a lot of colored girls because Chico is predominantly white. Don't let rumors scare you from going through recruitment! Every single sorority has people of color. Sororities are looking for girls who they feel will enhance their chapter, regardless of race. I would suggest that if you decide to go through recruitment, keep an open mind! So many girls are heart broken when they don't get their top house. Trust the process and you'll end up where you're meant to be. Chico has 6 awesome sororities!
