alpha phi

by: Psa

Alpha phi makes all their non stereotypical hot blonde members not recruit or talk to l non pretty pnms. It's a sorority based off looks. This isn't a bash on aphi I'm just saying the truth.

All sororities do this. Ever heard of "kitchen girls"? The prettiest, most social girls talk to the prettiest, most desirable PNMs and the matching goes on down.

Not really. Believe it or not, some sororities don't care about looks.

I'm in a sorority here (not alpha phi) and I've never heard of that term or known of this to happen. That is so superficial.

It's a thing. Look it up. At many/most other schools, there is a crew of girls who are either not bubbly/social enough or pretty enough to talk to PNMs who will help in the back, prepare refreshments, work on scorecards, etc. Often they are girls who DGAF about doing their makeup and hair, or girls who aren't involved enough in the chapter to talk eloquently about it.

Does this.
I'm an active member.
I'm pretty sure you are right and most chapters do.

Have you ever stopped to think that not all girls are comfortable recruiting? Some aren't comfortable in large groups, speaking in front of strangers, or maybe suffer from social anxiety. Some members of all sororities are naturally going to be more comfortable behind the scenes regardless of what they look like, and many girls are absolutely needed to do the behind the scenes jobs. That's how recruitment works. But way to spread some hateful rumors PSA. You are a class act!

Cut the crap aphi. It just so happens the all the girls that aren't hot and blonde aren't good recruiters? Get over yourselves.

I'm not an aphi, just someone with common sense. I am a Rho Gam this year, and in a sorority that is not considered one of the top houses. I cannot stand the stuff being said on this page and know that this post was made in an attempt to hurt recruitment for aphi, and the other post is made to hurt recruitment for gphi and kappa. It is clearly drama coming from a member of a chapter that is clearly concerned that aphi, kappa and gphi are going to be very successful this recruitment. Tearing others down will not build you up. Spreading hate about other chapters, does not make your chapter better, it shows you are weaker and shallow and spiteful. You should be ashamed. Grow up and spread greek love, not needless hate!

So I am a freshman but a lot of the alpha phis I have seen on campus or met at open house don't even have blonde hair. But even if they did, is there something wrong with having blond hair? Am I not going to get into a sorority because I do? It seems like blondes are talked about really negatively on this website but like a lot of girls at chapman are blonde so I don't understand.
