It's subjective to say whether or not a sorority is a "good" one. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. What one person may consider a "top house" does not necessarily mean that they are the top for you. What's most important is your connection with the girls you meet during recruitment, and the values you share with them. Also, knowing people or having best friends in a "good" chapter doesn't mean that you will get a bid from them, because girls within the chapter also focus more on the connections made than one good recommendation. Although - a recommendation or friend on the inside doesn't hurt (like the first reply said) ! :)
