the rush process
by: NervousMy friends went through rush in the fall at bigger schools and barely got their last choices, is rush that competitive here as well? They've been telling about their processes during break and now I'm really nervous that all the houses I like will drop me, I'm just wondering if the process is less intense because we go to a smaller private school? Do most people get their top choices here?

Rush is competitive if you want a top house just like it would be at any school. You can't choose a house and automatically think you'll get it because it's a "small school". There are cuts every day. You'll get a feel for it during rush, but each house is special and you'll find where you belong!! Don't stress it!

If you go into recruitment solely looking to get into a so-called "top house" know that you're rushing for the wrong reason. You should be looking for the house that feels like home for you, not which one has the best reputation or the prettiest girls according to some people. Each sorority at Chapman has something great to offer regardless of their "ranking."
