joining after college.

by:

I'm 24, I always wanted to join a sorority my freshman year but I thought I wouldnt make a good fit at the time, and I thought I wasnt outgoing enough for a socroity. After I graduated, I still was thinking about it, I wish I would've joined anyways. I was wondering if its too late to join after college?

Most/All greek organizations are created for and targeted to undergraduate students.I do not believe you would be able to join a greek organization as an active member, but every organization has its own bylaws about membership.

Satisfying clubs and organizations with values, purposes, and activities similar in nature and scope to those committed by NPC orgs exist for those too old to become undergraduate sorority members. Beta Sigma Phi is one such organization. There are many fine non-greek-letter orgs available to you, too.

While a limited number of NPC sororities cultivate alumnae initiate membership, one must be chosen and invited to become an Initiated Alum (I.A.) member just as one is chosen for specific chapter membership as an undergraduate student.

In general, sorority women are very well-acquainted with uninitiated women they feel would make great I.A. candidates and they work from there.

One does not simply knock on the door of a college sorority chapter, or at the home of an NPC sorority alum, and ask to become qualified for alumnae initiation. Cold-calling official area Panhellenic Alum groups or any NPC sorority headquarters to inquire about your I.A. chances is also verboten.

Trust that you can discover, join, and work well within similar positive organizations, without the wearing of greek letters across your shirt.
