I knew several of the members in this fraternity before they were actual members (they were just pledges at the time) and they were COMPLETELY different people. Fun to be around and you didn't feel like you were being judged or you weren't good enough to hang around them, simply because you weren't wearing Vineyard Vines or any other of that stuff (idk the names of any of the ONLY brands they wear). Now the same guys who I considered good friends at the beginning of last year won't even say hi to me or give me the time of day- not like I really care for it from them now anyways. I'm only writing this review so maybe someone reads this and understands how Greek life changes those in the group and subjects them to only associating with other members. I'm all for Greek life. Just don't be shallow. The majority of people on campus are not in a sorority or fraternity and trust me, it doesn't look good when you guys only talk to each other. You may be sociable and open to friendships but it's only from other people in Greek life, am I wrong? Just don't let it change you.

I agree! Fake people who can’t stand on their own they need to stand next to people and try to be them.

The ratings on this are all probably from the low lives over at Pi, or those at Kappa Sigma who are completely irrelevant to this campus and the greek life at central. In my honest opinion, Central Michigan greek life is held together because of Sigma Chi. They set the standard for what goes on. They have by far the best philanthropy on campus (breaking the record with raising 24k in one week) and they also have the best relationship with the top tier sororities (Phi Sig, Delta Zeta, Zeta). They are always one of the top teams, and you can tell that they have a strong brotherhood. You know it is by far the top fraternity on campus if you are somewhat involved in the greek life here. I was not fortunate enough to receive a bid at Sigma Chi because of my grades. That would be my only complaint about this fraternity, the biggest thing that they focus on is school. To anyone that is involved with greek life at central, quit trying to bring Sigma Chi down just because they are thriving and you are suffering along with the rest of the greeks.

Honestly want the best for these guys. They have so much potential but their egos get in the way of it all. They refuse to have socials with sororities outside of their clique and it makes them look so bad. They have very little Greek relations because they think they're too good for everyone. Please Sig chi, reach out to others. It will only benefit you, and you need it.

Some of these guys are creepy on tinder/ at parties but that doesn't go to say that these men are super kind and friendly. Also derby days rocks

Hilarious watching these guys get more lame every year... not sure who has been picking the pledges but they keep getting weirder. They all think they're so hot & cool but they're the only ones who think that. They're also majorly up zetas ass but good thing other sororities don't want to hang out with them anyways so go ahead zeta, they're all yours!!!

They can't even have parties or socials anymore without getting shutdown because they have such a bad relationship with law enforcement. I would say that they used to be top tier but more recently they have started to go downhill quick. Great philanthropy and derby days though. 50% of them are douches and have the clap

My first experience with sig chi freshmen year wasn't the least bit pleasant, two years later I've gotten to know many of these men and I couldn't say anything negative about them. Of course they have issues as does every other chapter on this campus. Keep doing awesome things guys!

This is a great chapter with some of the best guys I've met. From an outside point, I have talked to a lot of friendly, sweet, and funny kids. Sure, like any other greek house there are some guys in sig chi who might give off a bad vibe or act entitled, etc. but overall Sigma Chi is a strong chapter both nationally and at cmu. Honestly I don't think any dude in this house cares about their ratings on this website but they get a decent amount of critique on here and I feel it's because they're top house on campus. Only thing I'd say is that they should expand outside of their usual association with ZTA to other sororitys because it can make them both look cliquey.
