Alpha Sigma Tau - ΑΣΤ Sorority at California State University, Los Angeles - CSULA 5.0 So apparently to rush AST you also gotta do DZ???? Well I'm excited for rush!! Can't wait to meet more of the AST girls. The ones at the table during the time I went, we're so nice! They were welcoming and friendly, which feels good being my first week here. They didn't judge by the cover and they were actually interested in what I liked. I hope everyone else is as nice!! And the big flower letters they have were pretty too (:

I have been waiting for college to do this and I met an AST and she literally told me that she wanted to be a DZ (I think she rushed twice or something like that if it's even possible) because she said something about a bid from dz then she rushed again and didn't get a bid from dz but got a bid from AST and now she's an AST. I've heard a lot of girls who are ASTs wanted to be dz but didn't make the cut so do yall take dz leftovers? But you ladies are nice.

It's not a matter of taking leftovers. Some girls do rush for DZ, but end up in AST, yet everyone has different reasons as to why they decided on AST in the end. Also no matter how many times a girl may rush they may not end up getting in to their preferred sorority in the end because girls are judged based on the sororities values, if you don't seem to fit it then you won't be considered. It's also a matter of personality, because you'll have to be able to get along with all the other ladies already in the sorority. If they can't see you in their chapter then you won't be invited back. It's all up to the current people in the chapter. One chapter may not like one girl but the other may see her in a different light, it's all about perspective.
