zta's can't run for sweetheart or pledge mom
by: PanhellMy friend who's in ZTA said they can't run for Sweetheart or pledge mom and that they are breaking the rules if they do. There's so many ZTA sweethearts and pledge moms outside this school. I don't understand why they don't do it. Is it because they are new?

No. I'm not a ZTA. But as a sorority woman, I have to ask all of you women ....Don't you have anything else to do with your time besides become a sweetheart or pledge mom? I mean really? The year is 2016. Shouldn't we pursuing our own personal goals and ambitions and not be sitting around as show pieces for guys.

How is being a sweetheart showcasing for guys? What about guys running for Gentleman in sororities? You must be a die hard feminist or something. Being a sweetheart or gentleman is an honor and it means something for a group of people to choose you

Running for Sweetheart is NOT a bad thing. People just assume that all sweethearts are sluuts. I'm disappointed that girls on here don't support their sisters. Being sweethearts builds relations. If you don't believe so, then you must be in AO Pi because not many guys elect girls from AO Pi because they don't want to get the image of being a sweetheart

I've met a lot of great guys from the frat that someone in my sorority is sweetheart for. I find it to be cute.

So they're headed in the wrong direction for following the beliefs and values of their organization? Yeah. That makes perfect sense. It's really not a big deal. It doesn't make them seem full of themselves either. It's just different, and differences aren't a negative thing.

What is wrong with you? Who cares if they let their members become a sweetheart or not. I'm not an AOPi or a ZTA and I think they entire sweetheart thing is a waste of time. And a sort of embarrassing. A few women in my sorority do it, and I personally am not impressed, but it is their business.
