by: 49erI would love to see AEPhi sorority return here to Long Beach State. They would really bring diversity to our Panhellenic. This is a world class school. It would be great to have a world class Panhellenic!

Why do we need a Greek turnaround? We have a fantastic Greek System. We are a more diverse and urban school. We aren't trying to be like other schools.

I feel that Alpha Xi Delta's philanthropy was too controversial. I don't think it would have been a fit here.

No they aren't. They are a top notch group of classy, academic and philanthropic women. Get your facts straight.

First off, everybody wants Chi Omega to come on campus. They don't want to be here. Sure - it is their loss, but what are you going to do? Second, Kappa Kappa Gamma tends to struggle at schools like ours - They went off at UCI because they were known as the lowest house for 30 plus years. I don't think they would do well here. Kappa Alpha Theta tends to shy away from State schools (yes I know they have a Fresno chapter but that is the exception not the rule). And Theta got kicked off at San Diego State.

Those sororities are great but very predictable. This school is an edgier place. We need a greek system that reflects the personality of the school.
