zta pledge class not looking good

They just posted a picture of their new members and honestly they underwhelmed since they were bringing in so much hype. I would compare ZTA to Tri Delt and AO Pi.

New zeta here: I'm going to start of by saying I have thick skin, so none of this bothers me too much. But I agree with those saying that these frat guys need to cool it with talking bad about us. I received a bid offer from a top house but decided to wait and rush ZTA instead because I'm passionate about their charity. Contrary to what some of you frat brats think, sororities aren't all about you having eye candy. Many quality girls joined this house because they were excited about leadership and sisterhood. Do we all look like alpha phi girls? No. But even the "hotter" girls in our pledge class aren't sitting there wishing they joined a top house(on the superficial scale), because they saw potential within the values of Zta, regardless of their pledge sisters appearance. You should all be ashamed. I have many wonderful Greek friends that I made last year, but I've seen/heard way too many negative things about us simply based on one picture. And after all the bad talk and sigma kappa- they have been the only girls to approach me and welcome me into Greek life when I wear my Zta bid day shirt so far, so I think that says a lot about them.

I agree with most of what you are saying but I'm calling your bluff. You actually can't receive a bid from a sorority and had rushed zta in the same year. It's against the rules of Panhellenic to be able to join another sorority until a year after you signed your last pref card. If you received one from a top sorority last year you could have rushed zta this year but we were not aware of zta coming to our school last year.

you did not recieve a bid from a "top sorority" because that would have disqualified you from ZTA. It would be against panhellenic rules.

Note how I said bid OFFER. I didn't accept it, i was just offered membership I. The spring but declined(my friend worked with Panhellenic at csulb and knew ZTA was coming. I am aware of the rules.

It it wasn't through rush, it was through the open bidding process that some houses have. I knew ZTA was coming in February.

NO. If you receive any bid at all you must wait a year to rush. Ask around. Everyone knows this. But you're new so you don't know.

And also, we knew zta was coming to present with axid but we didn't have answer as to who won until much later in the semester

In my opinion it's sad that being top house involves Eye Candy. But I love ZTA's philanthropy. I feel like in order to be top house you have to have a combination of intelligence and looks. ZTA had a lot of hype coming into long beach and i feel like they didn't do a good job of having a balance of both Eye Candy and Intelligence. But nonetheless, you guys can use this as a tool to help you recruit girls in spring. Remember, guys like eye candy and sadly that's what you guys would have to do if you want to be top house

Yeah, sad but true. I want to blame the Greek system for being shallow, but that's just the world we live in! People are superficial, eve when recruiting for jobs. Looks and intelligence are both crucial

I totally agree with you. Eye candy is what makes a sorority top house. Intelligence added to that will distinguish from the number one house against the number two house

Being a good house is not "a combination of eye candy and intelligence." What is wrong with you? Seriously?!!?!
Being a good house is about being true to what you value and having some sort of sisterhood and goal for common good. Geeeeesh!

^^^Lets look at the reality here. Why do you think Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi are top house even though they don't have a great sisterhood

You know nothing about the sisterhood in Alpha Phi or Gamma Phi because you aren't in either one. So grow up and move on.
OBTW - ZTA has a cute pledge class. Proud to call them Panhellenic sisters

Proud to say I am a Zeta. Just to let everyone know who's commenting on here, 250 girls interviewed to be offered a bid for ZTA, only 110 were actually offered one. Soo just sayin', we're pretty special. BTW if we wanna talk shallow, a lot of my sisters are seriously hot af, I guess ya'll haven't seen them yet. Proud to be a part of Greek life here at CSULB and hopefully some of you guys, who are quick to judge, will see that ZTA is in fact a great sorority.

OMG - you don't even know if it is really a DZ or not. Anybody can come here and write anything - please. Also, they don't sell rank anymore than anyone else. They aren't even in the top five for self ranking.
