What the hell does kitchen duty mean? Obviously I'm not in a sorority but thinking about joining and I keep seeing kitchen duty on here

Kitchen Duty is when sororities put their awkward girls in the kitchen during recruitment, so that only their hotties are shown. A couple of sororities are rumored to bring in "rush teams" from other schools, so that they look like a better house than they are.

think of it like this

Varsity Team = Face girls who are on the rush floor working it.
JV Team = Floaters who are walking around.
Frosh Soph Team = not really freshman sophomores, but the girls who go on kitchen duty, because you don't want them messing things up for various reasons.
