making it in a sorority

Every house is different on how they select their sisters. But really, it is a mutual selection process, so you are select them too. Just go into rush with an open mind, and you will find a home.

It varies from house to house and from the first day to preference. Remember that the women are trying to meet as many PNMs as possible, so do your best to be polite, converse with the sisters and trust the system.

Here at the Beach it's pretty chill. Please don't stress over this. Just go in, meet people and decide where you feel comfortable. If you don't get an invite back to one sorority that you liked, please don't take it personally. Just go with the ones that invite you back and have a good time.

You talk to about 4-5 girls per sorority, per day, depending on the sorority. It can be a little overwhelming, but just breathe and you'll be fine.

We have formal recruitment for the eight national Panhellenic sororities on campus. Be open minded with the different houses and relax. Recruitment is a fun experience .

Welcome to Long Beach State! We have a really great Panhellenic and Pan-hellenic system. Within Panhellenic we have the 8 national sororities (in no particular order):
1) Sigma Kappa
2) Alpha Phi,
3) Gamma Phi Beta,
4)Delta Zeta,
5) Delta Delta Delta
6) Alpha Omicron Pi
7) Delta Gamma
8) Zeta TAu Alpha

All the sororities are excellent! We all really get along well, and it's a mellow. Greek System. If you choose to go through recruitment, please try to have an open mind.


We also have a great Pan-hellenic System here, and we have several Devine 9 sororities.
