school question
by: InquiringWant to know everyone’s thoughts about this school. I am deciding between transferring here, CSUF, or a higher ranked private school that gave me scholarship money.

Well,I got in here, San Diego State, Chapman (offered a scholarship), USC (not offered a scholarship), Pepperdine (offered a scholarship), San Jose, Fullerton, U Washington, Oregon etc. I chose here, because it was the best bang for my buck, and the location worked for me. I have no regrets, but everyone has to make their own decision. I don't know what the "higher ranked" private school is, but unless it's Stanford, Harvard etc, it's hard to believe it's "higher ranked." If you believe that is the best ranked school you should go there.

Pepperdine is expensive, but I wouldn't call it impressive. Most people who get into CSULB can get into Pepperdine.

The only private school in California that would be "higher ranked" than CSULB would be Stanford. Sure USC , Chapman and Pepperdine are full of wealthy kids, but they don't have the academics that we have here.

It’s definitely a high tier university in the CSU system. Acceptance rate for csulb is only 28 percent. It’s regionally well known. Over 90,000 applicants apply each year.
