I’ve seen sorority girls get frat guys as their “big bro”. What is this and is it allowed?

If your sorority has a brother program, then you get a big brother. Varies from group to group.

No national Panhellenic sorority can adopt big brothers. That’s never been a thing officially.

It is the same with the fratrnities who had to give up their Little
Sister Programs. However I am sure that some still have them as some
sororities have a big brother program. The National offices of both
Fraternities and Sororities will say that these programs are not allowed
and collegiate groups cannot officially recognize the programs.

It's not an "official", ppl tend to find a girl or guy they're close to that's older or younger than them in terms of Greek life and if they're close enough the older usually let's the younger kinda know, or the younger will ask the older to be their big bro/sis
