why is tridelta doing so badly in so cal?
by: ?Tri Delta seems to really struggle in California. They left UCLA , and are bottom house at Loyola Marymount and pretty much everywhere they are around here. What is going on? They are good in other parts of the country.

Every sorority chooses new members based on private values, standards and criteria. Perhaps Tri Delta found no women on certain campuses to meet their high standards. Tri Delta has also adapted their rules and regs over 130 years to keep people joining and alums actively involved. So either Tri Delta lacks qualified women on certain campuses or they can't interest enough qualified women to follow their standards.

Tri Delta and Alpha Phi used to be the top two sororities at Long Beach,
They were always ahead of Delta Zeta. DZ always came in 3rd behind them.
When DG came on then they would fight it off for third place with DZ.
Then it was ZTA and Sigma Kappa. When AOPI came on they were never a high
ranked sorority. It took Gamma Phi Beta a few years to move up to comoete
Against Alpha Phi Tri Delta and DG.

I've pretty much heard the same from my aunt who was a member of one the houses you mentioned as a top house back in the 80's. However according to her it was APHi, DG, and DDD which were considered top with DZ somewhere in the middle. GPHi and AOPi were usually dropped first during "rush." Sigma Kappa only returned to reestablish her last year of school. She is amazed at how GPHi has really moved up over the years.

Both of my parents went here in the 80s and so did a bunch of my family members. TriDelt was not as high as you are making them sound. They were better than they are now, but they were by no means a top house in the 70s, 80s or 90s.

That isn't true. We all have know people who went here, and none of them are saying that. I think Lucy and longtimeobserver are the same person.

I heard from a XO alum that DDD was top at UCLA til the 90s. They were one of the first top sororities to start recruiting more diverse PCs (because duh, its the 90s at this point and we're in CA) but it ended up tanking their reputation and they could never recover. Super sad.

They were good at UCI like 20 years ago. They are low middle now, and going down fast. Don't know about UCSD ,but they really struggle at Santa Barbara

They're only at 5 chapters in California: Cal, Fullerton, Long Beach, Pomona, and San bernadino.

Its pretty obvious they at referring to the zta chapter here. This is the second shot post about to felt in the last 2 or so weeks. And yes it makes sense they care about uci since it breaks their "tri delt is bad in so cal" narrative down a little.

They are sort of low middle at CSUN. Uni they are mid. They are not top at UCI.

They are definitely top 3 at UCI, just go look at their greekrank page. UCI also doesn’t have the best looking girls in comparison to CSULB. But then again, they have more cute AND insanely smart sorority girls, which is rare here.

I don't think ZTA and DDD are rivals. It seems like ZTA and SK rush against each other, and they are both way above DDD. Sorry, but DDD is our lowest house besides maybe one.

I'm in a top house and I don't thinkDDD out rushed ZTA or SK. I think those three were about the same. But ZTA is new, and DDD has been here a long time. DDD should have their act together and they really don't seem to.

At USC they are upper mid and UCI they are top. Looks like they are solid to low mid at a few other schools down here, bottom at a handful as well. Definitely not as strong here as in the rest of the country but they also dont suck as bad as this post makes it sound. The comments and stuff make it sound like all their so cal chapters are doomed or something lol Definitely not the case. Hell they are even getting better here. They got a pretty good pc for them this year. (argue among yourselves as to who it was or wasnt better than but it was for sure better than their past pc's)

They were so bad at UCLA they had to leave. Just not good around here. It's weird, cause they are so strong in other places.
