split

by: Think about it...

From what I saw today at bid day, it just seems like the sororities at CSULB are simply split. Four of the houses are desirable. Full of pretty, skinny, blonde, fun girls. The other four, not so much. And pledge classes every semester seem to prove this to me (I'm a third year). So, basically:

The winners: DZ, DG, A Phi, G Phi

The losers: Sig Kap, Tridelt, ZTA, AO Pi

Every semester, who is "top house" or "bottom house" doesn't REAAAAALLY matter because these two catagories stay the same. (Like, girls always want one of the top four, some years everyone wants A Phi, some years everyone wants G Phi, etc.)

Am I right or wrong? Opinions? Is there any potential for one sorority to move between the two groups- to rise or fall!

So basically the winners are full of all white girls and the "losers" actually have a mix of girls . It's 2017 get with the times

But am I wrong?? I heard 50 girls dropped the process when they heard they got AOII and ZTA for Pref. Like idk if it's a race thing or not (knowing sorority girls....it is) but for some reason, girls would rather not be in a sorority at all than be in one of the bottom four.

DZ seems pretty mixed and they are considered a top house.

It's not a race thing, all the top sororities have girls who are diverse in color it's just statistically minorities do not tend to be as healthy or get involved in college as much as whites and the whole "cultural clubs and sororities" has many of them self-segregate themselves from actual Greek Life... think critically and try to understand.

No it's this way.

APHI

Then DZ, GPHI, DG

Then...well do the others even matter?

@Think about it-Yes there is always the possibility for any chapter to move up or down from year to year. That's why it is vital to recruit new members that are going to improve and strengthen your house. If you were to ask CSULB Greek alumni, they might surprise you with their answers as to which groups were considered to be the most desirable to PNMs back in the day. Our chapter alumni have already mentioned one of the "top" houses used to be considered a "lower" tier one years ago. One that you ranked as a "lower" tier was once one of the most sought after chapters.

Yes and No. Alpha Phi has been hot for 60 years, and DZ has been solid for 60 years.

I sort of disagree. APhi has been a really strong house for 60 years , and so has DZ. Gamma Phi and DG sort of go up and down, and so does Tridelt, but the top two really don't change and they have been Alpha Phi and DZ since the beginning.

@Thing about it-You are right. It really is a split.

If there is a big split, then where does DG go? They used to be rock bottom, but now they really are lower middle, but by no means top. And by no means anywhere near Gamma Phi, DZ and Alpha Phi. I don't really believe in this split.

This is not correct. There is no split. All the sororities are fantastic and strong.
