ao pie
by: LBHeard AOPI is having such a rough time getting girls this semester that they might shut them down. When girls found out they ended up with them they all dropped the recruitment process. They have around 15 girls now. So sad

I wonder if Zeta being on campus have affected the Greek system to the point where AOII shuts down. They have such a strong alum network that I couldn't see them shutting down unless things were really really bad. But bringing Zeta on campus was supposed to balance out the numbers and make chapters smaller, but maybe CSULB just doesn't work with 8 sororities. If AOII really can't pull in at least 20 girls today then I'm really afraid it might be the end for them.

The real reason aopi can't recruit better girls is because of this website, no one wants to be part of a bottom house . Every year girls are reminded of that so they decided to go with another chapter. Any chapter that's not bottom house. If I wasn't already in a different house then maybe I would try to reshape the chapter into something better.
Hope aopi can get back on their feet. It would be sad to see a chapter that has been here for so long leave. Good luck girls!

Some of these posts state "I Wonder" "I've Heard" and "They Might" in reference to AOII. Are ANY of those posts coming from actual AOII women?
AOII has been on campus over fifty years, meaning they have many chapter alumnae. They also have a chapter house. Their purposes, standards and policies of membership may not be yours, but their variety is evidently serving some women here at CSULB.
Other campuses are experiencing one, two, or even three smaller chapters among sororities. Each NPC group that is small has the option of remaining on a campus and making the best of their situation, and a lot of campi have panhellenics that will not only stand by their smaller groups but will assist them in "Go Greek" endeavors to boost membership numbers.
Some choose to anonymously downplay AOII's look and abilities on greekrank, but only they truly know what they want, what they are capable of and what their future holds.
