possibly transerfering should i go through rush

I would wait esp if it's just one year.. if you were to get into a particular sorority at chico, lets say GPhi, you may love the chapter and everything there and come to rush it at Long Beach and not feel the same vibe you did at Chico because personalities in the house differ from chapters across schools even though it's the same sorority. Remember once you get initiated into one sorority you cannot re-rush a different sorority, good luck!

@nursing major-Just my opinion gave you some very good and solid advice and I'd urge you to consider it. Even if you join with a group that has a chapter at CSULB it is up to that new chapter to decide if they will let you affiliate with them.

Do you know for sure you are going to get into the nursing program at CSULB? If so I would wait. If you are just hoping to get in, I would go through rush in Chico. The nursing program here is very competitive. It's a good program in Chico too, but not as hard to get into as this one. Both schools make you do your pre reqs before getting in so you might as well just go through rush. They have Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Phi, and Sigma Kappa too. You might want to stick with one of those three.

The problem is that out of our 8 sororities they have only three of ours. You might go through rush up there and love Alpha Gamma Delta, but we don't have them here. I agree with the person above, if you know for sure you are coming here, then wait. If not, do it up there.

If you are going to try to get into the CSULB nursing program coming from Chico State it is going to be really hard. You might not have time for a sorority.
