delta gamma legacy rushing spring

by:

Hey everyone I plan on rushing in the spring and was wondering what Delta Gamma is like on campus. I would appreciate HONEST feedback. I don't want to join them just because I'm a legacy.

I am not a DG, but I remember them as being friendly, enthusiastic and involved on campus. In my opinion their biggest problem was that their dues were very high compared to other sororities. Check out the tables during spring recruitment to see which groups appeal to you. Good luck.

I'm not in DG but when I was going through rexreuitment they were really friendly and down to earth girls. I think they have the most expensive dues this year but I agree with above that you should talk to them at tabling and see if your personality meshes well with them! Top house, bottom house, etc doesn't matter if you don't see yourself being friends and sisters to these girls for the rest of your life. Good luck!

Meh - they are okay. They had a pretty good rush for them. They've gone from lower tier to the bottom of the middle. But that isn't really that they are good, it is just that tridelt has gone way down and dg sorta went up, so they switched places. DG is fine. If you like them, you should join. But you won't be joining a top sorority.

This is very true. DG is just mediocre. Their dues are way too expensive though

Although they pulled in a good pledge class this fall, this house is as middle tier as middle gets. A mixed bag of totally weirdos and cool chicks.

People keep saying they got a good pledge class, but I haven't seen anything that great. It might have been good for them, but it wasn't good. I agree that they are middle, but I think we need to acknowledge that they are low middle or barely middle.

What people mean by good is that they pulled in a lot of cute blondes.

Here is the ranking. Rather you care about being a legacy or not is up to you. But this is how most guys see it:

Top:
Gamma Phi, Alpha Phi, Delta Zeta

Middle:
Sigma Kappa, AOPI

Botom:
Tri Delt, Delta Gamma , Zeta Tau Alpha

By: here it is

this is not true at all

best sorority houses (in no order): alpha phi, delta zeta, delta gamma, gamma phi

everyone else is middle or low tier

Sorry. But NO WAY is DG upper tier or anywhere near those other 3 houses.

You must be high if you think in any terms that AOPi is higher than DG. APhi, GPhi, and DZ are top houses, but DG is right there behind them. Stop self ranking AOPi and accept you're bottom of the bottom and that's not changing any time soon

One final thing to say, keep an open mind as a legacy. Don't feel like you need to please mom, grandma, auntie, or sister, but at the same time don't immediately exclude that group they joined. My aunt was in a "top" house here but I made a different choice because that was the house were I felt most comfortable.

You can blah blah blah all you want. DG is most girls' fifth or sixth choice during recruitment.

But that's not because of a tier. I personally just didn't have a good conversation with who picked me up. Doesn't matter the tier
