I'll be transferring as a junior, do you think its worth it to rush a sorority?

I went through recruitment as a transfer and also met a lot of other transfers during the process. All found our respective sororities and are all happy. Definitely worth a shot!

There are loads of juniors who go through rush. It really isn't a big deal. I wouldn't hesitate.

The only house that discriminates against juniors is Alpha Phi. They usually only take a few. If I were going through as a junior, I would count them out. But you have seven other great houses that are fine with juniors.

I would probably just drop Alpha Phi the first day, because they will probably drop you for your age. You might as well spend your time getting to know the other houses. Seven of the Eight houses take loads of juniors.

This is actually true. Alpha Phi usually has their juniors picked out before rush even begins. If you are a junior and you don't already know you are going to be an Alpha Phi ( you would have to have good friends in the house) then you probably should just let them go the first day. That way you can focus on the other houses.

True that Alpha Phi doesn't take many juniors. But they seem to pretty much have their pledge class set before recruitment even begins. Who knows? But to answer your question, yes, you should go through rush. Loads of transfer students

There are loads of juniors (even people 23 and up) who go through rush. This school is super diverse that way. It really isn't a big deal.
