If you want a mellow, friendly Greek System, this is the BEST place you will find it. This school is really academic, so it has a great blend of academics and social.

Please don't listen to the haters on this website. They probably don't even go here to school. Once you are here and join the Greek system, you will love our mellow, inclusive vibe.

A really great Greek system has 25 year old losers still in college in leadership positions. Who the hell joins a frat at that age you must be desperate and this breek system must be desperate and unselective to take you.

Chill out brother! This school is a little bit less mainstream than some. It's a more alternative crowd. Still people get great internships and good jobs during and after college. Relax. If this school isn't for you, no problem.

Most UC are ranked higher than Long Beach. But the majority of private schools are not.

I actually got into UCI, UCD and UCR, and loads of privates, but chose Long Beach because it is way better for my major and I prefer the vibe at Long Beach over the other schools. If I could have gotten in to Cal or UCLA I probably would have gone to those. But I think I"M going to be happy at Long Beach

Me too. I actually got into a lot of schools. I turned town a scholarship to Chapman, because even with the scholarship, CSULB is cheeper. And the degree in my major holds a lot of water,so I'm really excited to go to Long Beach in a couple of months.
