California State University, Long Beach - CSULB 4.8 Greek Life has enriched my college experience. Long Beach is a hard school to get into at a 32% acceptance rate with over 40,000 student. Definitely go greek. Research the houses and find your home. The right house makes all the difference and the support will help maneuver your path. Good luck!

California State University, Long Beach - CSULB 4.8 Amazing community. The city of long beach itself has a lot of fun things to do. Definitely the best cal state university. Lots of attractive people (girls) and friendly people to meet. Parties are under rated and our greek life is under rated as well. Long Beach State is definitely the place to be at considering location, price, and student population.

California State University, Long Beach - CSULB 4.5 Huge campus so joining a sorority has made it easier to acclimate to college life. The dorms do need improvements but by second year most students move off campus either into a rental or their Greek House. It is hard to get into the top houses but everyone is pretty chill with each other whether you are Greek or not. Definitely have lots of events and parties when you are greek. Each house has a different gpa requirement. Some requiring above a 2.9 gpa. Love the support I receive from my house.

Areas of improvements, more healthy food choices, upgrade the dorms, add more dorms and parking. Otherwise, having the best time and enjoy all the diversity.

The dorms are just average so this year I moved in with some sorority sisters into a great place. I don’t understand the negative reviews because my experience has been so good. I feel lucky to have gotten into a college with a 34% acceptance rate and ranked in the top five Cal State school. The tuition is a fourth of most private schools or out of state school. I feel I am getting a good education and will graduate with little debt. For the negative reviewers, your experience is your own. Please transfer instead of bringing the school down and find your better match.
