let's stop the hate

Reading this page has made me sad...sad for the new PNMs and members of all houses. As a woman in a Panhellenic organization, it's sad to see everybody ranking houses as better than another. No one house is better than another. You, personally, may fit in better with one house over another or may have had better experiences with a certain house, but that does NOT mean that all 200 are worse than those in a "top house." Let's try to stop the hate and immature rankings...it's not cool and it's too easy to forget that girls in the "bottom houses" read these. As a Recruitment Counselor, I sincerely hope that my PNM does not make the mistake I did when I went into Recruitment and only like houses due to silly, superficial ratings.

Anyone else with me to stop the PHA and IFC hate?

Completely agreed!

It's ridiculous to see how low all our houses are rated on here compared to other schools. Why? Because we are constantly attacking and bringing down houses we see as "threats"...
Let's just love each other. Instead of talking poorly of all the other houses, why can't we use this site to reflect what each house has to offer: sisterhood.
It makes me so sad to look at the pages for friends' schools and see their average house rating is in the high 70s.

And we need to stop bashing GDIs too. Some people can genuinely not afford Greek life, or don't see it as a fit. Why would you ever pressure anyone to commit that much money and time to something they are honestly just not interested in?? Greek life is great but it is not for everyone and that doesn't make you less of a person for deciding against going Greek. Being Greek doesn't make you superior to the rest of Cal Poly. And honestly, after reading some of the hateful things on this page I don't blame PNMs if they decide against going Greek.
